Planned Closures

  • Closed all day on Tuesday, March 31 for Sacramento County Farm Workers Appreciation Day
  • Closed for staff meetings on Wednesdays between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM

 

Walk-Ins

The BAC receptionist can assist in placing you on the walk-in queue. To ensure same day service, we recommend checking in by 3:0​0 PM. ​Late check-ins may not be able to be accommodated if there are several customers already in the queue. All walk-ins will be served on a first-come, first-​served basis.

  • Mornings: Mondays and Fridays between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM (Pre-scheduled appointments are prioritized during the hours listed below)
  • Afternoons: Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM (Must be checked in by 3:30 PM).

Pre-Scheduled Appointments

The online​ appointment system is only for the​ available PER appointment services listed below for properties located in the unincorporated areas of the County. Please prepare to arrive on time for your appointment. Arrivals later than 5 minutes from the scheduled appointment time are subject to cancellation.​

Pre-Scheduled Appointments are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Entrance

The public entrance is off of 7th Street at the corner of I Street adjacent to the County Center Light Rail Station. An accessible entrance is available through the main lobby at I Street and 8th Street.

Parking

Parking is available on the street or in the County Parking Garage. If you park in the County Parking Garage at 725 7th Street (entrance on G Street), the County will provide parking validation for one hour. Parking validation is only provided for customers coming to the Building Assistance Center.

  • Affidavits, including DMV/HUD/ABC sign-offs 
  • Application submittals for the following:
    • ​Administrative permits (Minor Use Permits, Temporary Use Permits​, Certificates of Non-Conforming Use, Zoning Verification Letters, Substantial Compliances, Research Requests, etc.) 
    • Non-discretionary Design Review 
    • Entitlements Non-Administrative (General Plan Amendments, Rezones, Use Permits, Special Development Permits, Tentative Maps, Development Plan Reviews, etc.) ​
    • Pre-application Meetings and Early Community Planning​ Advisory Council (CPAC) Workshops​ 
    • Please note that application submittals should be done online by emailing planning-applications@saccounty.gov unless otherwise directed by a planner.
