Types of Projects
New Growth and Master Plan Areas
Projects in new growth areas of the County, including master plans and specific plans, which are both defined by multiple units/phases, typically with a wide array of uses. Most current growth areas are located in the Vineyard, Natomas, Cordova, and Elverta communities.
Major Development Projects Outside New Growth or Master Plan Areas
Major projects of all types located outside new growth areas or master plan areas.
Infill Projects
Projects related to facilitating the development of the County's Commercial Corridors, aiming to create livable and walkable neighborhoods that meet the community’s needs.
Zoning Code Updates
Projects related to updating the County's Zoning Code, which establishes land use zones, along with standards and regulations for development in those zones.
Long Range Projects
Projects related to updating and implementing the County's General Plan (including Housing Element), Climate Action Plan, and other long range or advance planning efforts. Additionally, initiatives related to pursuing grant funding.
